This booklet was commissioned by ASA Forces Charity for the unveiling of the John McAleese MM Memorial Bust.

The statue will be unveiled by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Stirling and Falkirk Alan Simpson OBE.
The book is a Souvenir booklet prior to you visiting the Memorial Bust, so that you can pass on the history of the day, when Britain’s Special Air Service team rescued 19 hostages, during Operation Nimrod.
We must never forget the bravery of the 22 SAS Team who put their lives in danger that day.
